Development
Pathogenwatch has been developed and run by the Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance as a community resource since 2018. Pathogenwatch has been funded and supported by multiple organisations over it's lifetime. The initial funding was provided by the Wellcome Trust. The CGPS was initially co-hosted by Imperial College and the Wellcome Sanger Institute, before moving to the Big Data Institute, Oxford University. Currently, Pathogenwatch is hosted at the Pandemic Sciences Institute, Oxford University.
